Revenue Enhancement Specialists Since 1989
In this video case study, Raul Maldonado discusses rate discrepancies. These discrepancies occurred from restaurants being charged a lower rate code than they should have been. They uncovered the rate code was an old code and was never updated. Later he uncovered a hospital being charged this restaurant code.
The second find Raul discusses with us was a WCA first-ever find: a general ledger find. In this particular case sewer rates dictates who gets billed for the sewer due to there being multiple authorities in one parish. The rate code was correct but the GL dictates where the money goes & which utility gains the revenue. In this case, the billing amount was correct but was going to the wrong authority.
Raul’s key takeaway from these two case studies – build good relationships with the clients.
